Privacy Policy

1. Overview

PharmaGuard is on-premise software — it runs entirely on hardware you own and control inside your pharmacy. We (the developers of PharmaGuard) do not have access to your data, do not collect it, and do not store it on any external server. This policy explains what limited information may be collected during your use of this website (pharmaguard.app) and during software installation or support.

2. Data stored by the PharmaGuard application

All operational data — including patient records, prescriptions, inventory, sales transactions, user accounts, and audit logs — is stored exclusively in the PostgreSQL database on your server. This data never leaves your local network unless you explicitly export it.

You, as the pharmacy owner and system administrator, are the sole data controller for all information managed within the PharmaGuard application. We have no access to this data.

3. Information collected on this website

When you visit this website (pharmaguard.app), the following may be collected:

  • Contact form submissions: If you submit a demo request, we collect your name, pharmacy name, and phone number or email address. This is used solely to follow up with you about PharmaGuard.
  • Server logs: Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) are retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes.
  • No tracking cookies: We do not use advertising trackers, analytics SDKs, or third-party cookies on this website.

4. How we use contact information

Information submitted via the demo request form is used only to:

  • Schedule and deliver a product demonstration
  • Respond to your questions about PharmaGuard
  • Send occasional product updates if you opt in

We do not sell, rent, or share your contact information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Patient data responsibilities

As an operator of a pharmacy in Ghana, you are responsible for compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), when handling patient information within PharmaGuard. PharmaGuard provides technical controls (role-based access, audit trails, session management) to help you meet these obligations, but ultimate compliance responsibility rests with you.

6. Data retention

Contact form data is retained until you request deletion or until it is no longer needed to support your onboarding. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us at the address below.

7. Security

This website is served over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are transmitted securely. We do not store payment information on this website.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
